Cosmin Olăroiu missed the last chance to take the United Arab Emirates to the 2026 World Cup, which has generated speculation about his dismissal. However, the Football Association of the United Arab Emirates has decided to keep the Romanian coach in his position, having a contract valid until 2027. Olăroiu's next challenge will be the Arab Cup, scheduled between December 1 and 18 in Doha, Qatar. Although he was criticized for the failure in the double match against Iraq, Olăroiu stated that he came with an open heart to help the national team and that, unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to secure qualification.
