Cătălin Raiu, the interim president of the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD), provided a reaction following the racist incidents at the Rapid - Dinamo match in the SuperLiga. Fans of the Dinamo team have been accused of chanting with racist undertones and displaying provocative banners. The CNCD has already received at least three complaints, including one from a public figure. Raiu explained that a hearing procedure will follow, where the parties involved will be able to present their point of view. The case will later be discussed in the Board of Directors, which will decide whether discrimination has been established. Raiu emphasized good cooperation with the Gendarmerie and mentioned that the decision to suspend the match belongs to the referee. He also clarified that he does not intend to become president with full powers, preferring to remain in the Council. The appointment of a new management team depends on the vote of Parliament, which has been postponed due to other legislative priorities.
