Driver Charles Leclerc has announced the renewal of his contract for several more years with Scuderia Ferrari, the team he has been racing for since 2019. The announcement was made ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, scheduled between June 5 and 7, and comes in the context of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Leclerc, at 28 years old, stated that Ferrari is more than just a team for him, being his childhood dream and a second family.

The driver emphasized the incredible and difficult moments shared with the team and expressed confidence in the common goal of bringing the world title back to Maranello. Although the exact details of the renewal were not specified, Ferrari highlighted that they share the same sporting aspirations with Leclerc. The team principal, Fred Vasseur, emphasized the driver's performance and his deep connection with Ferrari. Currently, Leclerc is in 3rd place in the drivers' standings, with 75 points, while Ferrari is in 2nd place in the constructors' standings, with 147 points.
