Cezar Crețu defeated an Indonesian player to give Romania the first point in the Davis Cup

Cezar Crețu, ranked 271st in the ATP rankings, gave Romania the first point in its World Group II Davis Cup tie against Indonesia after defeating Gunawan Trismuwantara, who is ranked 2,202nd in the ATP rankings. The Romanian won 6-2, 6-4 in a match that lasted one hour and 37 minutes.

Crețu’s victory opened the tie between Romania and Indonesia. In the second singles match of the day, Radu Papoe, ranked 315th in the ATP rankings, is facing Rafalentino Ali Da Costa, who is ranked 1,608th in the world.

The tie will continue on Saturday, at 06:00, with the doubles match. Romania will field Ștefan Hăiță and Radu Țurcanu, who will face the Indonesian pair of Rafalentino Ali Da Costa and Ethan David Zapp.
