BBC, which has been broadcasting Wimbledon since 1937, is facing an ultimatum from the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC). The organization has asked BBC to change its presenters and experts, considering them "outdated and irrelevant" compared to teams from other channels. The current contract, worth 69 million euros per year, expires after the 2027 tournament, and AELTC has warned that it will not extend the collaboration without changes. BBC pays 60 million pounds annually for these rights, but AELTC believes it can obtain better offers from competitors. The last edition was hosted by Claire Blading and Isa Guha, featuring a team of renowned experts, such as John McEnroe and Martina Navratilova.
