Argentina, the defending champion, will debut on June 17 against Algeria in Group J, alongside Austria and Jordan. A surprising absence is Franco Mastantuono from Real Madrid, who seemed a sure starter, and defender Acuna, world champion in 2022, is not on the list. Scaloni relies on a team made up of 26 players, 17 of whom were part of the winning squad from 2022. Additionally, Argentina will play two friendly matches before the tournament, against Honduras on June 7 and Iceland on June 10. The squad includes important names such as Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martínez, and Enzo Fernández, and the team's structure reflects the recent success of the national team.
