Andrei Chirilă, a 17-year-old forward, managed to score his first goal in the North American professional soccer league (MLS) in the match between FC Cincinnati and New York City FC, which ended with a score of 4-4. Chirilă was introduced on the field at halftime and scored his team's second-to-last goal in the 90+2 minute. The other goals for FC Cincinnati were scored by Kevin Denkey (32, 65) and Evander (90+5 - penalty).
On the other side, New York City FC had their goals scored by Argentinians Nicolas Mercau (20, 34), Agustin Ojeda (53), and Brazilian Talles Magno (79). Andrei Chirilă made his debut in March for the United States Under-18 national team, while his brother, Ștefan Chirilă, plays for the Romania Under-19 national team. FC Cincinnati currently occupies 11th place in the MLS Eastern Conference, having 9 points from 9 matches.
