Alexi Pitu has signed and joined the Romanian Superliga

Alexi Pitu, 24 years old, has signed a contract with UTA Arad valid until 2027, with an option to extend. After leaving Farul at the beginning of 2023, Pitu faced difficulties at the clubs Bordeaux, Dunkerque, and Vejle.

Although it was speculated that he might return to Farul or join the teams Dinamo and CFR, he chose UTA instead. Farul received two million euros for his transfer to Bordeaux. UTA, which won the play-out of the SuperLiga, could not participate in the European cups.

In another context, UTA will share the stadium in Arad with the team Corvinul Hunedoara, which does not have a suitable stadium for the first league. UTA's financier, Alexandru Meszar, stated that the team agreed to help Corvinul, considering the similar situation they encountered in the past. The contract is valid for one year, until the completion of the works at the stadium in Petroșani.
