National team coach Gică Hagi has decided to call up Adrian Rus, the central defender of Universitatea Craiova, to the Romanian national team for friendly matches against Georgia and Wales, scheduled for June 2 and 6. This decision was made following the medical issues encountered by Bogdan Racovițan, who could not continue training with the squad. Adrian Rus has been a name heavily discussed in recent weeks, with many arguing that he deserved a call-up from the very beginning. The coaching staff opted for his experience in these important tests. The first match will take place on June 2 in Tbilisi, and the second on June 6 at the Steaua Stadium in Bucharest.
