Manager Gheorghe Hagi has named Romania’s squad for the match against Poland, scheduled for Friday at 21:45 at the National Stadium in Warsaw, in Group B4 of the Nations League. Forward Louis Munteanu will be unable to play in the last two matches of this international window after suffering an ankle sprain on Wednesday evening.

Romania come into the match after two defeats in the group: a 1-2 away loss to Sweden and a 2-4 home loss to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Poland drew 0-0 with Bosnia, then lost in Sweden by a score of 1-3.
Thus, Andrei Burcă, Matei Ilie, Lisav Eissat, David Matei, Raul Opruț, Vladimir Screciu, Vlad Dragomir, Darius Olaru, and Louis Munteanu were left out of the squad. Six of them started in the 2-4 defeat to Bosnia.
