The French Football Federation has decided to exclude AC Ajaccio from national competitions, a measure which is not final and the club has the option to appeal. The decision comes shortly after the team was relegated from the Championnat National, France's third tier. The club's debts, estimated at €13 million, were deemed too high to allow participation in the third league, leaving the Championnat National with just 17 teams for next season.
