Experts from Bitdefender have identified a pro-Russian cyber group, Curly COMrades, attacking key infrastructures in the Black Sea region, targeting government institutions in Georgia and an energy provider in Moldova. The group uses advanced persistence techniques and an attack tool called MucorAgent, which exploits standard Windows components. Experts recommend monitoring unusual activity and deploying detection solutions to respond quickly to threats, stressing that attacks in the neighborhood may pose a risk to Romania.
