The Polish Minister of Digital Affairs stated that the country has recorded a record number of cyberattacks, between 2,000 and 4,000 daily, of which 800 represent a significant threat. The Polish government believes that these attacks are part of a 'hybrid war' orchestrated by Russia, targeting critical infrastructures such as water supply and the energy sector. In response, the budget for cybersecurity has been increased to one billion euros.
