Microsoft is in talks with the European Commission to avoid a potential fine after unfair competition charges brought by Slack and alfaview. In response, the company began selling the Office suite without Teams at a lower price, and has adjusted prices for the Teams app. The European Commission will consult rivals and customers before taking a final decision, and Microsoft has also proposed improving interoperability to support a more level playing field.
