The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Munteanu, reacted on Thursday to the dismissal of his Romanian counterpart, Ilie Bolojan, emphasizing that in a democracy such events are part of the political process. Munteanu stated that Romania, a country close to Moldova, will continue its European path, and the next government will be pro-European.

He highlighted the contrast between European democracies and dictatorial regimes, mentioning that in countries like Russia or Belarus, election outcomes can be predicted for many years. The Moldovan Prime Minister expressed confidence that relations with Romania will remain strong.
