Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced on Friday that the adoption of sanctions against Russian diplomats will be proposed in the Supreme Council of National Defense (CSAT) after a Russian drone hit an apartment building in Galați.

"I firmly condemn Russia's irresponsible action. We are working on three fronts, the first is diplomatic. This morning, I agreed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the action that will be proposed in CSAT to adopt sanctions against Russian diplomats in Bucharest. Secondly, there is the immediate plan related to ensuring security at Romania's Eastern borders. I agreed with the Ministry of Defense to take all necessary steps to request NATO allies to transfer military technologies that we currently do not have, which pertain to air defense capabilities, radars that can scan at low altitudes, so that we have military technology available that takes into account what is happening in today's wars and the new techniques related to drones," said Ilie Bolojan.
