The Kremlin uses pro-Russian politicians and secret services to create conditions of instability in Moldova, aiming to remove President Maia Sandu. Polls suggest that the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) could lose its majority, and the Kremlin may try to generate violent protests similar to the Euromaidan in Ukraine. Russia has trained Moldovans to organize provocations and has spread disinformation regarding a NATO invasion, in an attempt to destabilize the political situation in Moldova.
