Vladimir Plahotniuc appeared today in front of the court, continuing the defense plea in the case of "Bank Fraud". His lawyers, especially Lucian Rogac, requested Plahotniuc's acquittal, arguing that the just solution would either be to return the case to the prosecutor for the re-establishment of the criminal investigation or acquittal.

Rogac criticized the panel of judges, claiming that it did not act as a neutral arbitrator but began to behave like a second prosecution. He warned that any potential conviction would be deeply flawed and vulnerable in the face of internal or international appeals. Additionally, the lawyer challenged the prosecutors' indictment, which he described as comparable to a "fantastic scenario," lacking solid evidence.
