At the 'Cohesion 2027+' conference in Bucharest, Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea highlighted the progress of the Republic of Moldova in regional development and alignment with European Union standards. He discussed the completion of the screening for Chapter 22 – EU Regional Policy, which confirms Moldova's capacity to manage structural funds.

Bolea emphasized recent legislative reforms, the modernization of responsible institutions, and the introduction of working mechanisms inspired by EU member states. He also mentioned national training programs for local authorities, which facilitate access to European funding. Finally, Bolea conveyed that Moldova is approaching the EU not only as a beneficiary but also as a responsible partner, capable of contributing to the cohesion and competitiveness of the Union.
