The authorities of the Republic of Moldova announced the opening of Cluster 6 "External Relations", a month after the launch of negotiations for the first cluster, highlighting the accelerated pace of the accession process to the European Union.
The message conveyed is "together for the next step in the European integration of the Republic of Moldova".
The cluster targets essential areas such as EU trade policy, foreign policy, security, and defense.
The Government of the Republic of Moldova emphasized that European integration involves not only negotiations but also transformations that will have a direct impact on citizens, bringing more security and economic opportunities.
The negotiation process includes the assessment and alignment of legislation and policies with European standards. The Republic of Moldova submitted its application for EU membership in 2022, and the proposed deadline for completing the negotiations is 2028.
