The general mayor of Chișinău, Ion Ceban, raised an alarm regarding the increase in drug consumption in the city, emphasizing that the problem has penetrated schools and their vicinity. Ceban mentioned that parents are increasingly worried and are sending more requests to the authorities. The mayor called for collaboration from the new Government to address this alarming situation. He highlighted that, in the past, the City Hall took measures to limit access in certain public places, but now the problem has worsened, becoming a frequent topic of discussion in schools. Additionally, Ceban mentioned that residents are complaining about places set up for drug consumption in backyards and playgrounds, where illegal substances can be easily found. The mayor urged the authorities to act urgently to combat this problem.
