Daniel David, the Minister of Education, stated that preventing drug use in schools requires effective control outside of them, through collaboration with local authorities, especially with public order agencies, to eliminate dealers near schools. He emphasized the crucial role of the family in preventing drug use, highlighting that parents must be actively involved. Within schools, the behavior of students, teachers, and administrative staff plays an important role.
David also mentioned the need for psychotherapeutic treatments for drug users, which should be scientifically validated. Collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs is essential to ensure a police presence around educational institutions, especially in high-risk areas. The minister appreciated the mobilization of authorities to control drug use and violence in and around schools.
