Vadim Ceban, interim president of the Board of Directors of Moldovagaz, announced that starting from October 17, natural gas deliveries to the Transnistrian region will be resumed. These volumes will be sufficient to meet the needs of all consumers, thus allowing the restoration of hot water supply and the start of the heating season. Although the end of the gas saving regime was anticipated, it continues to be cold in educational institutions in the region and there is no hot water in residential blocks.
Local authorities justify the restrictions by unfavorable external circumstances and the need to restore financial flows from Russia. The Ministry of Economic Development in Tiraspol issued an order to start the heating season, scheduling the supply of hot water from October 17 and thermal agent from October 21.
