Mihail Diaconu, a former judge at the Court of Appeal Centru, was found dead in the Riscani sector, with gunshot wounds. He was involved in two criminal cases for influence peddling and did not promote integrity assessment. The SCM decided to dismiss Diaconu, who had challenged this decision. Investigations found that Diaconu had allegedly solicited bribes to influence the admission of a trainee lawyer's wife to study. If found guilty, he could face up to six years in prison.
