Explosion in Crocmaz, Republic of Moldova: Fragments of combat drone discovered / No casualties reported

A powerful explosion occurred in the locality of Crocmaz, Stefan Voda district, Republic of Moldova, causing a vegetation fire. According to authorities, no one was injured as a result of the incident. At the scene, fragments were found that were preliminarily identified as belonging to a combat drone.

Police specialists are set to examine these fragments to determine the cause of the explosion. The incident was initially reported as an explosion, and specialized forces were mobilized to establish the circumstances and extinguish the fire.

Crocmaz is located near the border with Ukraine and this is not the first incident of this type in Moldova, considering that, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, fragments of drones have been discovered in various localities. Moldovan authorities have warned that the drones may have originated from Russian attacks on Ukraine.
