The government led by Alexandru Munteanu in Chișinău plans to introduce a visa regime for citizens of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This decision comes as a result of the intention to denounce the agreement that allowed visa-free travel, signed in Bishkek in 1992. The draft resolution also includes six other agreements that are to be denounced, including those related to military transport, indirect taxes on trade between CIS states, and cooperation in the field of chemistry and ecology. If these denunciations are approved, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova will inform the executive committee of the CIS about these changes.
