At a recent meeting, the Central Election Commission accredited 30 international observers from OSCE/ODIHR. Jillian Stirk, head of the mission, announced that long-term observers will start on the ground after accreditation and 200 short-term observers will arrive shortly before the elections. The mission comprises 15 experts from 14 OSCE member states, and an interim report will be published two weeks before the polls. The deadline for accreditation of observers is September 21.
