The Judges Evaluation Commission has appointed a new leadership team, with Andrei Bivol elected president by unanimous vote of the nine members. Bivol, a lawyer with over 15 years of experience in the legal field, has played a significant role in civil and administrative litigation, including before the European Court of Human Rights. He has also been involved in international arbitration and legislative projects. Marcel van de Wetering, a senior judge from the Netherlands, has been appointed vice president. This change comes after Scott Bales stepped down from the presidency and is part of an internal reorganization aimed at ensuring the continuity of the Commission's activities and the efficiency of the evaluation processes.
