During a public debate, Alexandru Tănase, former president of the Constitutional Court, emphasized the need to regulate the involvement of the clergy in electoral campaigns through sanctions applied to political parties, not to priests. Tănase stated that the state must establish clear rules to prevent the use of the church as a tool for electoral propaganda. He mentioned that changes in religious mentalities cannot be achieved quickly through direct interventions by the state. Additionally, Tănase warned about the risks posed by groups of young people trained by the Russian Federation to provoke destabilizations in the Republic of Moldova, highlighting the importance of increased vigilance from the special services. These actions are part of a broader plan to undermine the stability of the country.
