The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will make an official visit to Romania on Thursday, where he will meet with President Nicușor Dan and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
The reception at the Cotroceni Palace for President Volodymyr Zelensky will take place at 1:30 PM, after which the two will hold a joint press conference at around 3:00 PM, according to the Presidential Administration.
This meeting takes place four years after the start of Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine. The Presidential Administration emphasized Romania's constant support for Ukraine, including in international efforts for lasting peace.
Discussions will address topics such as strengthening bilateral relations, economic cooperation, cross-border projects, and the respect for the rights of the Romanian minority in Ukraine. There will also be discussions about the expansion of the European Union and the security situation in the Black Sea region.
President Nicușor Dan stated that Romania will continue to support Ukraine in its fight for security and stability in Europe. Zelensky last visited Romania in October 2023, when he was received by Klaus Iohannis.
