Adrian Veștea declared on Monday, after his government failed to gather a parliamentary majority to be invested, that he is aware of the situation and has spoken with all parliamentary parties that requested this.

"I did not have such a decision from the president. I considered it necessary and responsible to talk to all parliamentary parties," said Adrian Veștea, when asked if President Nicușor Dan knew that he spoke with AUR.

At the same time, he claims that he did not promise anything to those from AUR except that he will "be available for discussions".

"It is their decision. I have done my duty," Veștea added, after the AUR parliamentarians left the room.
