Victor Ponta announced on Tuesday that he has filed a complaint against the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, with the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD) and that next week he will also file a criminal complaint with the General Prosecutor's Office.
Ponta claims that Oana Ţoiu discriminated against his daughter, Irina, and accused her of not allowing her to board a repatriation flight from Dubai. Ponta mentioned that the legislation clearly outlines the responsibilities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the case of unaccompanied minor Romanian citizens in conflict zones. He emphasized that he will fight against those he considers "non-humans" and called for sanctions against those who discriminate against children. Ponta added that he will continue to demand the enforcement of the law and the accountability of ministers.
