Victor Ponta, former prime minister and president of the PSD, stated that he is ready to return to the position of prime minister of Romania, awaiting a call from Nicușor Dan.
Ponta mentioned that the parliamentary group United for Romania (UPR), of which he is a part, has already proposed him for this position. Although he is open to Nicușor Dan's proposal, Ponta emphasized that he does not believe that the country depends on a single person, referring to other political leaders.
He also expressed his willingness to support other candidacies, such as those of Sorin Grindeanu, Alexandru Nazare, or Eugen Tomac, stating that he will respond positively if they seek help.
Ponta wanted to clarify that he will not adopt an exclusive attitude, like that of Bolojan, who "refuses to support anyone else outside of himself."
