Victor Negrescu reacted to the trade agreement between the European Union and the United States, pointing out that although it prevents an escalation of tariffs, Romania faces significant challenges. Higher tariffs on Romanian goods, including 15% for most products and 50% for steel and aluminum, could hurt local companies. Negrescu proposes four courses of action: support for affected firms, a firm stance in EU negotiations, diversification of export markets and economic reforms to boost competitiveness.
