Dominic Fritz, the president of USR, sent a message of solidarity with Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu, who was reported by the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) to the General Prosecutor's Office for her criticisms of the judges' pension system. Fritz emphasized the importance of freedom of expression. Additionally, the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, posted questions addressed to CSM on Facebook, without mentioning Gheorghiu's name, referring to criminal complaints against prosecutors and judges. CSM accused Gheorghiu of an 'attack' on the judiciary, notifying the competent authorities for investigations related to possible crimes of incitement to violence or hatred, following her statements about judges' pensions, comparing them to a 'Caritas' type system.
