On Friday, July 3, UPR announced that it is considering the possibility of transforming into a new political party, according to judicial sources. The parliamentary faction includes 12 deputies, among whom is former Prime Minister Victor Ponta, and covers ten electoral constituencies, including Bucharest, Timiș, and Dolj.

During the parliamentary vacation, UPR parliamentarians intend to seek local support for the launch of this political project. Although the name of the future party has not been chosen, UPR announced on its Facebook page that in the fall it will initiate a project aimed at changing Romania.

The UPR group in the Chamber of Deputies is made up of former members of POT and SOS, including group leader Răzvan Chiriță and Gabriela Porumboiu. UPR expresses its appreciation for the support received and invites citizens to join its initiative.
