The designated Prime Minister Eugen Tomac stated that he is considering the creation of a vice-prime minister position to coordinate the digitalization program, emphasizing the need for a boost to implement projects in this field.

This option was discussed during the meeting with social-democratic leaders at the PSD headquarters. Tomac highlighted the importance of attracting funds from the PNRR for the relaunch of the Romanian economy and emphasized major priorities, including accession to the OECD. He assured the PSD leadership that the government he proposes will be prudent regarding taxes and levies, to avoid new burdens for Romanians.

Tomac called for responsibility from all parties, emphasizing the need for a government capable of making decisions and maintaining the country's pro-Western direction.
