In a statement on Antena 3, Titus Corlătean announced that he will run for PSD president, arguing that the party has reached a difficult situation and needs to return to the core issues. He stressed that the PSD is marginalized in the current coalition and has lost much of its credibility, having performed poorly in the elections. Corlătean said that there is a need to revitalize the party by involving competent and educated members to revive the party's internal life and bring real change.
