The first 3 tanker planes of the United States have arrived in Romania. The Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță: "We inquired whether they are coming with weapons, with explosives. The answer is no."

The Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, announced that three American tanker planes landed on Sunday, March 15, at Otopeni Base 90. These aircraft are part of the contingent recently approved by the Romanian Parliament, at the request of the United States, thus highlighting the military collaboration between the two countries. The landing of the planes is an important step in support of defense operations and regional security, demonstrating Romania's commitment to international partnerships.

"Following the decision of Parliament this week, three aircraft, some Boeing planes with in-flight refueling capability, arrived this morning. They landed at Otopeni. It is the decision of our strategic partner from the United States, whether they come to Otopeni or to Mihail Kogălniceanu. Parliament has given this approval for them to come to both Mihail Kogălniceanu and Otopeni. It is a limited number given by Parliament, it fits within that number and is a coordinated activity by the United States," said the Minister of Defense on TVR INFO.
