The state budget debate for 2026 enters a decisive stage, with discussions scheduled in the joint plenary of Parliament.

The budget project, adopted by the Government, has been sent to Parliament and has been analyzed in committees, where some amendments have already been approved. On Monday evening, the budget was discussed in the specialized committees, and on Tuesday the debates continued, with favorable opinions for the budgets of the main credit managers.

The joint plenary session for the final debate is scheduled for Wednesday at 16:00, and the final vote is expected on Thursday.

The debates have been tense, with notable incidents, such as the aggressive reaction of PSD deputy Adrian Câciu and the opposition's attacks on the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu. The Defense budget was also marked by harsh exchanges. A controversial amendment regarding aid for military pensioners was approved, generating criticism from the opposition.
