The simple motion 'Prahova under siege: over 100,000 Romanians condemned to thirst and illness under the complicit gaze of the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu' was adopted in the Senate with 74 votes in favor and 43 against. Although the motion was accepted, it cannot lead to the dismissal of the minister. Diana Buzoianu stated that the attacks against her are motivated by political interests related to appointments in state-owned companies subordinate to the ministry. She promised to continue the reforms and will not be intimidated. Representatives of USR argued that the motion was drafted by PSD, while Daniel Zamfir from PSD criticized Buzoianu for her management of the water crisis in Prahova. Although PSD did not vote against the government, it participated in the simple motion, highlighting the conflict between the two parties in the context of the water crisis.
