The President of Romania acknowledged, in an interview on Romania TV, that he has had a tense relationship with the PSD over the years, especially at the local level. However, he mentioned that this relationship has significantly improved since the social democrats entered the current Coalition. The President emphasized that he frequently discusses with Sorin Grindeanu, expressing his opinions and listening to his arguments.
"Now it is no secret that I have had a long history of tension with the PSD, especially at the local level, in Bucharest. But since the moment the PSD agreed to form a coalition at the national level, I have a very good relationship with the PSD. That is, all the discussions we have are absolutely reasonable. With Mr. Grindeanu, obviously, I interact the most as he is both the former and the new president of the PSD. I tell him how I see certain situations, he tells me what the vision is from the perspective of the people he represents. I believe that the interaction we have had these months has been very civilized," said Nicușor Dan.
