The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, will represent the country at the Peace Council summit, which will take place on February 19 in Washington D.C. He will be accompanied by three advisors from the Cotroceni Palace: Marius Lazurca, Radu Burnete, and Vlad Ionescu. Romania participates as an observer, as the organization's charter, created by Donald Trump, contradicts the country's international commitments. Nicușor Dan explained that Romania cannot become a member due to conflicts with obligations towards the European Union, especially regarding sanctions. The Peace Council, launched by Trump, aims to resolve global conflicts and promote stability, and countries wishing for a permanent seat on this council are invited to contribute at least 1 billion dollars.
