The Parliament of Romania will convene in an extraordinary session from August 3 to 6, with the main objective of approving the National Strategy for Biodiversity Conservation, an important milestone in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, with an estimated value of approximately one billion euros.
According to the schedule, the Senate will hold meetings in the permanent committees on Monday and Thursday, while on Tuesday and Wednesday, senators will meet in plenary sessions. In the Chamber of Deputies, plenary sessions with final votes will be organized on Monday and Wednesday, while committee work will take place on Tuesday and Thursday.
President Nicușor Dan is expected to promulgate the laws approved by Parliament, including the Urbanism Code, which is considered an important step in implementing the milestones from the PNRR. He also emphasized that there are three milestones left to be approved, among which the ANI Law and the Biodiversity Law will be discussed next week.
