The Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Diana Buzoianu, stated that she will not support the budget of the National Forest Administration Romsilva if it does not include funds for the purchase of portable video cameras (bodycams) for foresters. Buzoianu believes that these investments are essential for the safety of employees who face harassment and threats in the field. She emphasized that the general director of Romsilva, who played an important role in investments, has not managed to find funding sources for bodycams, despite the construction of a luxury hotel. The minister highlighted that bodycams not only protect foresters but can also deter corruption among employees. Buzoianu also mentioned that, although not all Romsilva employees are corrupt, many honest foresters feel threatened in carrying out their duties. She promised that she would fight for the protection of these employees, who represent the "antibodies" of the institution.
