The leaders of the governing coalition have resumed negotiations regarding job cuts in local public administration, reaching an agreement that provides for the elimination of 10% of the occupied positions in the mayor's office. Mayors will have the option to reduce salary expenses instead of laying off employees, having until January 1, 2027, to comply.

The financial impact of the measure is estimated at 1.7 billion lei. Additionally, a 10% reduction in salary expenses at the central level has been agreed upon. Tensions have arisen regarding economic recovery measures, with the PSD proposing tax incentives, but without a final agreement. Furthermore, grievances related to the recent budget adjustment were discussed, and it was decided to form a working group for the reform of Romsilva.
