Sorin Grindeanu, interim president of the PSD, confirmed that he was not invited to the ceremony for the swearing-in of Oana Gheorghiu as deputy prime minister. He attended the Extraordinary County Conference of PSD Gorj and is set to participate in the one in Mehedinți.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and several presidential advisors, including Ludovic Orban. Oana Gheorghiu, co-founder of the 'Dăruiește Viață' Association, was proposed by the Prime Minister for this position due to her contribution to building the first hospital for children with cancer in Romania. Grindeanu emphasized that the withdrawal of Bolojan's proposal is essential for maintaining diplomatic relations with the USA.
