Nicușor Dan appointed Șerban Iftime as honorary advisor, the son of the president of PNL Botoșani and owner of the FC Botoșani team, Valeriu Iftime.

The Presidential Administration has announced the appointment of Șerban Iftime as honorary advisor to President Nicușor Dan, starting from November 17. He will work in the Department of Economic and Social Policies. Șerban is the son of Valeriu Iftime, the president of the Botoșani County Council and patron of the local football team.
Valeriu Iftime confirmed the family relationship but denied any influence in his son's appointment, mentioning that there were several proposals and that the selection was based on competence. Additionally, Șerban Iftime is the general manager at Elsaco Electronic, a utility company with a profit of 22.5 million lei and a turnover of 348.4 million lei last year.
