The Russian ambassador to Bucharest, Vladimir Lipaev, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss a Russian drone that entered Romanian airspace.

Oana Ţoiu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced the summoning of the Russian ambassador, emphasizing that the purpose of the meeting is to communicate Romania's protest regarding the recent incident. This is the second call to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Lipaev, who was previously summoned to discuss the violation of Polish airspace. Romania is working on a package of sanctions together with EU partners, and Ţoiu mentioned that the country is ready to cooperate with NATO to deter such incidents.
