Bogdan Ivan, the Minister of Energy, had important meetings in Washington to strengthen Romania's position in the regional energy architecture. Discussions with the Atlantic Council focused on energy security in Central and Eastern Europe, highlighting Romania's role as a provider of stability. At the World Bank, Ivan analyzed financing options for strategic projects, including gas infrastructure and energy production capacities, mobilizing billions of euros for critical infrastructure. During the Transatlantic Gas Security Summit, the Vertical Corridor was discussed, which will integrate gas flows from Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania to Central Europe, having the potential to generate additional profits for Romanian companies. Ivan also addressed nuclear projects, such as the completion of Units 3 and 4 at Cernavodă and the development of small modular reactors at Doicești. He emphasized the importance of the partnership with the United States for the development of energy projects and thanked President Nicușor Dan for the support provided.
